The summer the kids walk in.
A note about the future of education, tech, and how the next four months are going to reshape every classroom in the country — whether the institutions are ready or not.

In the world
Fifteen-year-olds are running fine-tuned models in their bedrooms. Kids wiring agents together with three open-source libraries on second-hand Macs. They treat the AI stack like Lego. The most interesting builders right now are not in big labs — they are at home, in dorms, on Discord servers nobody is reading. They are about to walk into your classrooms in September. The schools that figured out how to channel that velocity will look unrecognisable by Christmas. The schools that did not will look exactly like they did in 2019.
We built H2E with Frank Morales (Boeing Fellow, our Chief AI Officer). Four real-time modules — SROI, NEZ, IGZ, V-RIM — run before every JAX response so the tutor adapts to the learner who actually walked in.
The phone is no longer a second screen
An entire generation does not own a laptop. They learn on phones. Drivia iOS Build 3 is in TestFlight. Same architecture as the web product — one source code, your institution licenses a deployed instance, the data layer lives where you control it. Public launch this summer.
Vendor concentration is the new tail risk
Wednesday, ShinyHunters released 275 million student records from roughly 9,000 institutions, mid-finals week. One vendor. One breach. Nine thousand schools dark at the same moment. The institutions that survive the next decade are the ones that stop renting their data layer.
The model layer is commoditising. The data stack is not.
The moat is not the model anymore. It is the framework underneath. Drivia's whole platform now sits on one governed data-access framework — Prisma + Drizzle + Supabase JS, all behind a single QueryGuard observability layer.
